And who are those students? No one is offering data related to what causes students to drop out, ... What impact is the accountability movement having on high school graduation rates? ... We need research to determine if this is true."<BR/><BR/>It seems like you're faulting those who would gather more data as the first step towards the solution while you are saying we need more data. Maybe those in power are having trouble getting the data or progressing with a solution after they have the data...in that case we should be clear that the concept of data-gathering isn't the problem.<BR/><BR/>I only point this out because I've gotten the feeling lately that educators are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. We see so many bad implementations of data gathering and use that its easy to forget that it's an unbeatable tool when used correctly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
