Bill Gates Loves KIPP, Too

See Clay Burell's coverage and discussion of the Bill Gates recent talk at TED, where Gates discussed four world problems: malaria, AIDS, pnemonia, and teachers. Then he gave everyone in his audience a copy of the celebratory screed on KIPP's Feinberg and Levin by Jay Mathews. Is there a Pulitzer category for history as soap opera?

  1. I don't even know what surreal means anymore--we're losing all frames of reference.

    This is a dangerous talk.

Talk is cheap. I'm sure there's a classroom that could use a geeky computer teacher.

And if ever there was a comment thread in which your input might sway a few people needing more info on KIPP and more, that one's it. They've swallowed Gates' expert talk hook, line, and sinker.
