Paying Off Time on the Lazy River with Lives on the Corporate Treadmill

The New York Times has a piece today about the latest in the recreational arms race at the second and third tier colleges that are educating the next generation of America's corporate drones.  It's called the Lazy River, which allows students to totally relax between fraternity/sorority parties and football weekends.

Meanwhile over at the VA and the homeless shelter, the online colleges are aggressively recruiting brain-damaged soldiers and discarded schizophrenics whose enrollment dollars will swell the bank accounts of the predatory scumbag execs who fume that their days at college were without steam rooms or therapeutic massage.  Life is unfair, alas.

Whether your college comes to you from a computer screen at the Y or from the massage chairs at the leafy suburban campus, we are all in this together, Arne Duncan assures us.  We are all, indeed, part of the 1 trillion+ of student debt that must be paid off after the GI or the poor kids get their worthless online degrees and after the more privileged ones dry off from their last dip in the lazy river.

It will take a lifetime, but then, what is life for, otherwise?
