McIntyre Resigns Before Being Fired

With orders from oil man and then-mayor, Bill Haslam, a group of Knoxville businessmen in 2008 flew to Boston to illegally hire corporate mole, Jim McIntyre, as superintendent of Knox County Schools.  The board vote was 5-4 at that time to hire, and ever since teachers have been fighting an uphill war to maintain their dignity as the Knoxville community has fought to maintain humane public schools.

This past summer the board voted 5-4 to renew McIntyre's contract, but in the fall election, one of McIntyre's stooges lost his seat on the board of education.  With the writing on the wall from a fed-up County Commission, McIntyre has apparently decided to take a year's pay and head back to Broad's training camp for further orders.

Happy New Year, Knox County!

Best thing to ever happen to knox county schools! He was not a leader, did not care about the teachers or students and had no leadership skills and was completely unqualified to be superintendent. Adios Mcinliar- good riddance jerk! Go somewhere else, fire a bunch of teachers, make way too much money, and run another district into the ground! How dare you ask for one year's pay you corrupt politician! You are not wanted here and need to leave now!!!
