Much work remains

If results in the Dover, Pennsylvania Board of Education race (story here) lead us to believe that sanity might prevail over intelligent design, then there is the Kansas decision yesterday to remind us all that faith-based power brokers are about bare-knuckled politics more than prayer and fasting.

Not only has the State Board in Kansas opened the door to teaching theology in science class, but they have gone one step further to redefine science. In the words one Board member, Carol Rupe, "I'm certainly not here to change anyone's faith, but I wish you were not changing science to fit your faith."

If you can't join 'em, make them join you. Story here.
