Achievement Gap? Nope, parts 1 and 2

The term “achievement gap” is misleading and thus one of the problems with the education reform debate.

  1. There can't be any shortcuts in closing the equity gap. "Reformers" keep looking for quick fixes, but poor children of color need the same respectful, holistic, engaging, multimedia instruction.

I wonder how many inner city secondary students got to watch this week's PBS the Latino Experience and study it in class.
