by Doug Martin

Here is segment 2 of my RT TV interview with Sean Stone on “Watching the Hawks,” where we discuss DeVos, Walton, Trump, teaching social justice and history in the classroom, and Indiana school privatization.  It starts around 19:11 in the video.

  1. Privatizing is still pending from the federal level. Pending in Congress is H. R. 610 that includes home schools and all types and form of education. This will be accomplished by passing H. R. 1510 which will send all federal programs to the states in one block grant. No doubt the governors will be in charge of receiving and dispersing the money to the local schools that conform to corporate/government mandates. This is all designed around teaching children in specific skills for the workforce. See School to Work and SCANS Acts. The tracking system passed Congress in December (4174) with suspended rules and a voice vote. A voice vote can not be traced by the public. The companion Senate Bill 2046 is pending.
