Hungry and Sleepless Children Can't Learn

Below is the segment on homeless and impoverished schoolchildren from last week's 60 Minutes.  Just over 13 minutes--please watch it.

Meanwhile, Arne Duncan does nothing, nilch, zero, to help these kids. Do you think that Duncan's Microsoft geniuses who are destroying our public schools can come up a few dollars to provide bedtime snacks to make sure that these homeless kids don't have to lie awake aching with hunger in a cheap motel room that they share with their families?  Do you think that Duncan and the testing companies care enough to make a plan for this most basic of need of 25 percent of our children?
