As a liberal, I really don't care how someone worships, or gets a spiritual "buzz", or strives for insight, spiritual or otherwise.
It is a private matter, and a protected RIGHT in these United States.
But when these folks try to impose their particular sect's views in THE POLITICAL ARENA,then that becomes an imposition and violation of OTHER PEOPLES" *Right* to have different practices & beliefs or, to have none at all.
And the fact that MANY of these groups are secretive and deceptive about their true intentions (see: DOMINIONISTS), makes it all the more immoral, unethical and UN-American.
