Whose Schools? THEIR Schools!

Except that we pay for them!

A new report from the Annenberg Institute for School Reform looks at charter school governance in Massachusetts.  You may expect other states to be even more corporate friendly.  A clip:
The dominant voices--31 percent--on charter governing boards in Massachusetts are from financial and corporate sectors.  Professionals from the financial sector alone--executives at banks, investment companies, or hedge funds, for example--represent 12 percent of all trustees. 
In some schools, the board of trustees is striking for its lack of educational expertise....
