by Doug Martin
I will be joining labor studies professor Patrick Hill and unionist and blogger Randy Obenchain for a discussion on the Workers' Voice Show at Indiana University Kokomo's Radio Free Kokomo tonight, Friday March 14th, from 5-6 pm.
I am a big fan of this show, since I learn something new every time I listen in. I, too, hope to cover some new ground that I haven't mentioned on air yet, specifically the Walmart/Amway attack on Indiana public schools, workers' rights, GM's math for killing off people in vehicles, $857 popcorn, and Jim Horn on eugenics and school testing.
You can listen to the show live at this link:
Be sure to check out the show's website and facebook page, too.
Please tune in!!! And look for my book, Hoosier School Heist, due out next Friday.
"A child's learning is the function more of the characteristics of his classmates than those of the teacher." James Coleman, 1972
. . .a pupil attitude factor, which appears to have a stronger relationship to achievement than do all the “school” factors together, is the extent to which an individual feels that he has some control over his own destiny. James Coleman, 1966
