Randi and, Then, Reality

The NYTimes had this precious quote by Randi Weingarten, who is pumping hard to keep the fire going under the new ESEA Senate bill, which should be called the Charter School Empowerment Act:
“This is a big deal,” said Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers. “It goes back to the original intent of the law, to level the playing field for at-risk kids.”
Obviously, she did not read the Bill.  It includes this final states rights provision, Sec. 6302:
"Nothing in this title shall be construed to mandate equalized spending per pupil for a State, local educational agency, or school."
 Original intent, really, Randi?

Randi needs to be fired. She supports closing schools, Common Core, Pearson, Gates, VAM. If it is detrimental to public school students, public school teachers and public schools, Randi is in favor of it.
