Help a New Teacher Avoid a Big Mistake

This showed up in the comment box today:
I'm about to graduate in May and after receiving an invitation to interview at a KIPP school recently, I received a folder of candidate resources where essentially all of their procedures were spelt out. I was confused by whether I was looking at a juvenile detention center or a school? I started doing some research and came across your blog, wow. How can these places exist?
Discount has been extended by publisher--20 percent off Rowman & Littlefield price or at other online booksellers.  The perfect, and potentially career saving, gift for that new teacher about to graduate. Use promo code: RLEGEN16

I worked at a KIPP school for two years. It is NOT a pleasurable work environment by any means. There is a reason why the scholars call it "Kids In Prison Program".
