The last thing we need ...

LA Mayor Villaraigosa has announced his strong support for Race to the Top. US Dept of Education Secretary Duncan has made it clear that Race to the Top national standards will lead to national tests, far more testing than we have ever had before.

At a time when children are already overwhelmed with tests, when No Child Left Behind has turned schools into test-prep academies, the last thing we need is more testing.
